The Crutch Handle and Elbow Protectors from Deramed are a set of protectors that are used to prevent calluses and hard areas forming on the skin and the hands of people who walk using crutches. These protectors comprise of four tubes of gel, two of them to protect the palm of the hands. and the other two tubes with a central opening to protect the forearm area that rests on the crutch.
The diamond-shaped cross-section of the tube, combined with its tack-like (not sticky) feel, improves the hands grip, enhancing safety and preventing falls when the crutches are used. On the other hand, its elasticity makes it possible to adapt it to different shapes and sizes of crutch handles and forearm areas. The tubes are both washable and reusable.

Uses

Application
To apply the Crutch Handle Protector:
- Remove the crutch handle protector from the packaging
- Stretch the opening of the protector
- Slide the protector over the crutch handle
To apply the Elbow Protectors:
- Remove the elbow protector from the packaging
- Stretch the elbow protector out
- Apply to the right side of the handle
- Apply to the left side of the handle

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

Shipping Locations
At present, we ship to anywhere within the Republic of Ireland. We can ship mobility items internationally but this may incur an additional fee. Please contact customerservice@phelans.ie for a quotation
Shipping Schedule
We aim to ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually dispatched in 1-2 working days.
We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Returns
Damaged Items
All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.
Returning Unwanted Items
If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Exchanges can made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase for the value of the returned product, if proof of purchase is provided and goods are as-new.
Return Criteria
No returns of medicine products can be accepted, whether they have been opened or not, once they have left the pharmacy.
All eligible items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollators are suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
