When you are suffering from a deep, chesty cough, you can rely on BENYLIN® Non-Drowsy Chesty Cough to provide an immediate soothing effect and ease irritation caused by coughs. It also works deep down in the chest to help loosen phlegm, helping clear bronchial and nasal congestion and make your cough more productive.
This medication is clinically proven to relieve chesty coughs without drowsiness.
How it works
Active ingredient guaifenesin helps thin and loosen phlegm in your chest, making it easier to cough up.
The active ingredient levomenthol also helps to relieve congestion to make it easier to breathe.
What is a chesty cough?
Chesty coughs are caused by a build-up of phlegm in the lungs and on the chest.
The cough mechanism kicks in to try and get rid of this excess phlegm.
Directions for use:
For oral use only.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Take two 5 ml spoonfuls every 4 - 6 hours, four times a day
Not suitable for children under 12 years
Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings:
Do not use this medicine:
- If you have ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients
- For a child under 12 years of age.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you suffer from liver or kidney problems
- If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars.
- If you have had a cough for a few weeks that may be caused by asthma, or a cough which brings up a lot of mucus (phelgm).
- If you are taking alcohol
- ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Contains:
Active Ingrdients: Each 5ml of cough syrup contains, Guaifenesin 100mg, Levomenthol 1.1mg
Also contains : Sucrose, liquid glucose, ethanol, glycerol, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate (E211), Ponceau 4R (E124), caramel (E150), carbomer, rasberry essence, natural sweetness enhancer and water.

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

Shipping Schedule
We aim to ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually dispatched in 1-2 working days.
We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Returns
Damaged Items
All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.
Returning Unwanted Items
If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Exchanges can made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase for the value of the returned product, if proof of purchase is provided and goods are as-new.
Return Criteria
No returns of medicine products can be accepted, whether they have been opened or not, once they have left the pharmacy.
All eligible items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollators are suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
