Product Description

Gaviscon Infant Sachets

Helps prevent regurgitation and gastric reflux in infants. Gaviscon infant active ingredients forms a gel in the stomach when they come in contact with stomach acid and then stabilises the stomach contents in preventing reflux and regurgitation.

  • 30 doses

Directions for use:

For oral use.
For infants 1-2 years:
Under 4.5kg (10Ib) - one sachet
Over 4.5kg (10Ib) - two sachets

Bottle fed infants:
▪Mix each sachet into 115ml of feed in the bottle
▪Shake well
▪Feed as normal

Breast fed infants and weened infants up to 2 years:
▪Mix each sachet with 5ml (1 teaspoon) of cooled boiled water until a smooth paste is formed
▪Add another 10ml (2 teaspoons) of cooled boiled water and mix
▪For breast fed infants give Gaviscon Infant part way through each feed or meal using a spoon or feeding bottle.
▪For all other infants give Gaviscon Infant at the end of each meal using a spoon or feeding bottle.

If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, or worsen, seek medical advice.

Not to be used in infants under 1 year of age except under medical supervision

Not suitable for children over 2 years of age, adults or the elderly

Do not give more than six times in 24 hours


Warnings:
Not to be used in infants under 1 year of age except under medical supervision in cases of intestinal obstruction and in cases of established diarrhoea.
Not to be used in situations where excessive water loss is likely, e.g. fever, diarrhoea, vomiting or high room temperature.
 Not to be used in gastroenteritis where the appropriate treatment is rehydration with fluid replacement.
Not to be used when treating infants with known or suspected impairment of renal function as the sodium content (approximately 23.9mg or 1.04mmol per dose) may add to the risk of hypernatraemia.
Not to be used except on a doctor or other healthcare professional's recommendation.

Do not use Gaviscon Infant with other feed thickening agents or infant milk preparations containing a thickening agent.

Do not use more than the stated amount

Each sachet is security sealed, do not use if damaged

Each sachet of Gaviscon Infant contains approximately 21mg (0.92mmol)sodium.  If your infant has been put on a low sodium (salt) diet, ask your doctor of other health professional before taking the product.

Contains:

Each unit dose sachet of 0.65g powder contains: Sodium Alginate (225mg) and Magnesium Alginate (87.5mg)

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

At present, we ship to anywhere within the Republic of Ireland. We can ship mobility items internationally but this will incur an additional fee. Please contact customerservice@phelans.ie for a quotation

Shipping Schedule

We will ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually shipped in 1-2 days. We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Once your order has shipped, it will typically be delivered in 1-3 working days

Delivery Tracking

You can track your order online with https://tracking.dpd.ie/ by entering the tracking number you will have received in your shipping confirmation email.

If you have not received a tracking number or cannot locate it, please contact us and we will provide the tracking details for you.

Returns

Damaged Items

All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.

Returning Unwanted Items

If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Returns made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase will be issued a credit note for the value of the returned product.

Return Criteria

All items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollator is suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
