Put Backache Behind You

Back pain is very common and affects many adults. In most cases, it isn't anything to worry about and will likely ease after a while. However, back pain can sometimes interfere with everyday tasks if it causes you pain and discomfort, or is a reoccurring issue.

Back pain causes;

It's often hard to pinpoint the cause of backaches and discomfort but some common reasons can include;

• Sprain
• Strain
• Slipped disc
• Sciatica

Back pain prevention;

• Staying active (*always make sure you are exercising mindfully and stop if you feel any pain or discomfort)
• Avoid sitting for long periods of time
• Correct posture when using a computer, laptop or watching TV
• Ensure office chair has good back support
• Back supports or cushions
• Ask your GP or pharmacist about over the counter painkillers

​Speak to a GP if the pain continues for a few weeks and/or you are in a lot of pain.
