Under the Common Conditions Service, our trained pharmacists can assess and treat:

• Allergic rhinitis

• Cold sores

• Conjunctivitis

• Impetigo

• Oral thrush

• Shingles

• Cystitis, an uncomplicated urinary tract infection

• Vaginal thrush

If treatment is clinically appropriate, the pharmacist can also prescribe medication.

Eligibility depends on your age and medical history.

For example:

• Allergic rhinitis, age 2 years and over

• Infective conjunctivitis, age 6 months and over

• Cold sores and oral thrush, age 1 month and over

• Shingles, age 18 years and over

• Cystitis in women, age 16 to 64

• Vaginal thrush, age 16 to 60

Our pharmacist will assess your symptoms and confirm whether you are eligible during your consultation.

Yes, there is a consultation fee. The pharmacist will explain the cost before your appointment.

The consultation fee applies even if you have a medical card.

If medication is prescribed, you may be able to claim it under the Drugs Payment Scheme or through your medical card, where eligible.

Booking an appointment is recommended but not essential. We welcome walk ins.
