Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets

Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets provides fast relief from pain and discomfort caused by acid regurgitation, indigestion and heartburn. It works by forming a protective layer on top of the stomach contents, preventing stomach acid escaping into the food pipe.

Directions for Use:
For oral administration.
Adults, including the elderly and children 12 years and over: When symptoms occur take one to two tablets
after meals and at bedtime, or as directed.
Children under 12 years: should only be taken on medical advice.
Chew thoroughly before swallowing.
If you take more Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets than you should you may feel bloated and experience
abdominal discomfort. It is unlikely to cause you any harm, but please consult you doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets it is not necessary to double the dose next time, just
carry on taking as before.
You can take this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Take special care with Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets:
Each two-tablet dose contains 103 mg of sodium (main component of cooking/table salt). This is equivalent of
5% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult.
This medicine also contains 78 mg potassium per two-table dose. To be taken into consideration by patients
with reduced kidney function or patients on a controlled potassium diet.
This medicine contains 80 mg calcium per two-table dose.
If you have been advised to follow a diet restricted in any of these please consult your doctor before taking
this product.
Also talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you need four or more daily doses for a prolonged period, especially
if you have been advised to follow a low salt (sodium) diet or if you suffer or have suffered from significant
kidney or heart disease, as certain salts could interfere with these diseases

Contains:

Each chewable tablet contains 500 mg sodium alginate and 100 mg potassium bicarbonate as the active ingredients. These tablets also contain mannitol (E421), calcium carbonate, macrogol 20,000, copovidone, magnesium stearate, aspartame (E951), acesulfame potassium and mint flavour.
