Regaine Extra Strength 5% Solution for Men & Women

Regaine Extra Strength 5% w/v Solution is a clinically proven treatment for hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in adults aged 18–65. It helps slow further thinning and supports new hair growth. The active ingredient, minoxidil, increases follicle size, improves blood flow to the scalp, and encourages follicles back into the growth phase.

A short period of increased shedding can occur at the start of treatment as older hairs are replaced by new growth.

Regaine is most effective for recent or mild-to-moderate thinning on the top of the scalp. Results vary by person, and continued use is required to maintain growth.

Directions for Use
Ensure the scalp is dry. Apply 1 ml to the affected area twice daily, 12 hours apart, using one of the enclosed applicators. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

• Results may take 6 weeks.

• If no improvement after 12 months (men) or 8 months (women), discontinue use.

• Ongoing twice-daily use is needed to maintain results.

Application

• Pump spray (larger areas): Spray once at the centre, spread with fingertips, and repeat 6 times to deliver 1 ml. Avoid inhaling the mist. Wash hands after use.

• Extended spray tip (smaller areas): Attach to the pump spray and apply as above.

Important Information
Regrowth varies. The product will not work for all users. Always read the label and patient information leaflet before use.

Do not use Regaine®Solution if you:
- Are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. (listed
below)
- If you suffer from heart disease including abnormal heart rhythms or rates, angina or chest pains and/or circulation disorders.
- When minoxidil passes into the bloodstream it can cause some side-effects
related to low blood pressure such as chest pain, rapid heartbeat, faintness,
dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain or swollen hands and feet. It can
also cause persistent redness or irritation of the scalp. If you experience
any of these side effects stop using the medicine and tell your doctor.
- Some patients have experienced changes in hair colour and texture with
 this medicine.
- Increased hair shedding (old hairs fall out as new hairs grow in their place)
may occur during the intial 2 to 6 weeks of treatment. This is a sign that it works
 and that new hairs are replacing old hairs. This stops within a couple of weeks.
If shedding persists, stop using Regaine® Solution and consult with your doctor.
- Accidental ingestion may may cause serious cardiac adverse events. Therefore this
 product has to be kept out of the reach of children.
- If the foam is accidently applied to areas of the body other than the scalp, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water to avoid any unwanted hair growth.

The solution is flammable. Do not use while smoking or near any naked flames or strong heat source. Avoid exposure of the container and contents to naked flames during use, storage and disposal.
