The Nevis Healthcare Chair is a triple-motor rise and recline chair built for pressure care and easy cleaning, with fully waterproof upholstery that wipes clean after spills, accidents or incontinence. It's made for people who need real pressure relief and independent positioning, at home or in a care setting, without the chair looking clinical.
The 4-way stretch faux leather is sealed against liquid, so anything from a knocked cup of tea to an incontinence episode wipes away with a damp cloth rather than soaking in. Nothing reaches the foam underneath, so there's no separate waterproof cover to fit, no cushion to launder, and no lingering stains or odours. It's also Crib 5 fire retardant, soft to sit on, and hard-wearing enough for daily professional use.
At the seat is the Ultra-Lux Comfort system, with a high-risk pressure-relieving memory foam layer over a pocket-sprung base, built in as standard. No extra pressure cushion to buy or reposition. The triple motor gives independent rise and recline plus a powered headrest, so the user sets their own position for comfort or to stand. It comes in Petite and Standard sizes, both rated to 150 kg (24 stone).

Q: Which size should I choose?
A: Both sizes hold up to 150 kg (24 stone), so it comes down to build and height. Petite has a 45 cm seat width and 44 cm seat height; Standard has a 52 cm seat width and 48 cm seat height, giving more room and a higher seat for taller or larger users. If in doubt, measure the current chair the user finds comfortable and match the seat width and height.
Q: What happens in a power cut?
A: The battery backup keeps it working, so the user isn't left stuck in a reclined position.

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

Shipping Schedule
We aim to ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually dispatched in 1-2 working days.
We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Returns
Damaged Items
All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.
Returning Unwanted Items
If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Exchanges can made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase for the value of the returned product, if proof of purchase is provided and goods are as-new.
Return Criteria
No returns of medicine products can be accepted, whether they have been opened or not, once they have left the pharmacy.
All eligible items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollators are suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
