BENYLIN® Phlegm Cough plus Decongestant Syrup not only thins and loosens chest phlegm so you can cough it away more easily, it also helps relieve nasal congestion.
How it works
Guaifenesin thins and loosens phlegm, making it easier for you to cough up and lighten the weighty feeling on your chest.
Pseudoephedrine causes the blood vessels in the nasal and sinus passages to contract and narrow, which reduces congestion and the production of excess phlegm.
What is a phlegm cough?
When phlegm builds up in the chest, it can be hard to get rid of by coughing, so it’s helpful to have something to take to loosen the phlegm and relieve the feeling of heaviness.
Directions for use:
For oral use only
Do not use more than the stated dose shown.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
- Take two 5 ml spoonfuls, four times a day

Not suitable for children under 12 years
- Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings:
As with all medicines, if you are pregnant or currently taking any other medicine especially heart medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Do not take with any other cough and cold medicine
Contains:
- Guaifenesin 100mg, Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg.
- Other ingredients include: Sucrose, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl hydroxybenzoate (E216), sunset yellow (E110), Ponceau 4R (E124).
- This product contains 5 vol % ethanol.

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

At present, we ship to anywhere within the Republic of Ireland. We can ship mobility items internationally but this may incur an additional fee. Please contact customerservice@phelans.ie for a quotation
Shipping Schedule
We aim to ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually dispatched in 1-2 working days.
We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Returns
Damaged Items
All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.
Returning Unwanted Items
If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Exchanges can made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase for the value of the returned product, if proof of purchase is provided and goods are as-new.
Return Criteria
No returns of medicine products can be accepted, whether they have been opened or not, once they have left the pharmacy.
All eligible items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollators are suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
