Strepsils Plus Anaesthetic Lozenges 24 Pack

Strepsils Plus Anaesthetic Lozenges are the only lozenges containing Lidocaine, a powerful local anaesthetic which rapidly numbs the pain and a combination of 2 antiseptics (Amylmetacresol 0.6mg 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg) to help kill the bacteria which can cause sore throats and mouth infections. They are used to relieve sore throats in adults and children over the age of 12 years.

Directions for use:

Adults and children over 12 years:

One lozenge to be sucked in the mouth every 2 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Consult your doctor within 3 days of use if symptoms persist.

Warnings:

Do not use Strepsils +Plus Lozenges:

• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients listed below -
• if you are under 12 years of age 
• if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless under the supervision of your doctor 
• if you have a history of allergy to local anesthetics 
• if you suffer from a blood disorder called methemoglobinemia (abnormal amounts of hemoglobin in the blood)

Take special care with Strepsils +Plus Lozenges 

• if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
• if you have been told by your doctor you have an intolerance to some sugars
• if you are asthmatic, consult your doctor before use

Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or are accompanied by high fever or headache, or if anything unusual happens.

Contains 2.5g of glucose & sucrose per dose. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Contains:

Each lozenge contains the active ingredients amylmetacresol 0.6mg, 2,4 – dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 10mg. The other ingredients are tartaric acid, sodium saccharin, levomenthol, peppermint oil, star anise oil, quinoline yellow (E104), indigo carmine (E132), liquid sucrose and liquid glucose
