Acidex Oral Supension
Acidex is used for the treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux), for example, following meals, or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms related to reflux oesophagitis. It has an aniseed flavour.
Directions for use:
Adults and children 12 years and over:
Take 10 – 20 ml (Two to four 5 ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime.
Children 6 to 12 years:
Take 5 – 10 ml (One to two 5 ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime.
Children under 12 years: Should only be taken on medical advice.
Children under 6 years: Do not give to children under 6 years of age.

Do not take this product if:
You know you are allergic to any of the ingredients as very rarely difficulty in breathing and skin rashes have occurred (see further information for a full list of ingredients).
Take special care before treatment with Acidex:
This medicine contains small amounts of sodium (6 mmol per 10 ml). If you have been advised to follow a low sodium (salt) diet ask your doctor before taking this product.
Consult your doctor if you are over 40 years and have never suffered with heartburn
and acid indigestion before.
If symptoms persist after 7 days consult your doctor.
Other medicines and Acidex
Do not take this medicine within two hours of taking other medicines by mouth as it can
interfere with the action of some other medicines.
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other
medicines, including medicines obtained without prescription. A time interval of 2 hours
should be considered between Acidex intake and administration of other medicinal
products, especially tetracyclines, floroquinolones, iron salts, thyroid hormones,
chloroquine, bisphosphonates and estramustine.
Acidex with food and drink
Acidex should be taken after meals as well as at bedtime.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
You can take this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
As with all medicines, the treatment duration should be limited as much as possible.
Contains:
Each 5 ml of this medicine contains 133.5 mg Sodium Bicarbonate, 250 mg Sodium Alginate, 80 mg Calcium Carbonate. It also contains carbomer, sodium hydroxide, saccharin sodium, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), butyl parahydroxybenzoate, isopropyl alcohol, peppermint oil and purified water

A delivery charge of €5.95 is applied to all orders under €50. We offer free delivery on online orders over €50*

Shipping Schedule
We will ship all goods within 5 working days of receipt of payment from our Webstore based at our Kinsale Road Roundabout, Cork location. If goods are in-stock and don't require a medical consultation, they are usually shipped in 1-2 days. We work exclusively with DPD couriers. We do not ship on weekends or Bank Holidays. If any goods are out of stock, we will advise you of an expected availability date. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number when ordering with us.

Returns
Damaged Items
All items are carefully inspected by our team prior to dispatch. If an item becomes damaged in transit, you must notify customerservice@phelans.ie no later than 24 hours after receiving your delivery.
Returning Unwanted Items
If your online order does not fit your needs or requirements, you may notify us and return your item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund on the price of the product. Returns made up to a maximum of 30 days post-purchase will be issued a credit note for the value of the returned product.
Return Criteria
All items must be returned in "as new" condition, including all original packaging, in order to receive a refund. Please ensure any wheelchairs or rollator is suitable before use, as once the tyres demonstrate signs of use, items cannot be refunded. Where products require assembly, products must be carefully dis-assembled and repackaged before being returned to us.
