This Thermotherapeutic Clay Compress can be used hot or cold to relieve pain. The use of clay means that heat can last up to 50 minutes, allowing for extended pain relief. It also allows the compress to mold on any part of the body, both on wide surfaces (back, abdomen, leg), and in more specific areas (joints). Due to its size, it is ideal for use on the lumbar.
Cold therapy is effective for the functional recovery of athletes, reduces inflammation and relieves pain caused by trauma and acute injuries such as sprains and bruises.
Heat therapy is recommended in contractures, chronic pain, muscle tension, spasms etc. Heat also improves the elasticity of the tissue, decreases stiffness and increases blood supply.
Place the clay compress in the freezer at least 15-20 minutes before use. As it is covered with soft material, it is not necessary to cover with a towel when used.
**It is not advisable to heat using a hot water bath**
